our hygienist

After twenty-nine years of practicing dental hygiene in the Portland area, Melissa was thrilled to become a part of Redland Family Dental.  Melissa likes the small town feel of the office and enjoys getting to know her patients and their families.  She is devoted to the highest standard of care and strives to make each patient feel comfortable while listening to their needs and concerns.

Melissa graduated in 1988 from MHCC with honors and has enjoyed watching her profession evolve over the years through technology and science.  By taking continuing education classes, being in study clubs and being a member of the Western Society of Periodontology and the American Dental Hygiene Association, she has kept knowledgeable in her profession.

Melissa lives in Estacada with her husband, their two horses, two boxer dogs and a couple of barn cats.  They both enjoy horseback trail riding and horse camping.  Melissa has many other interests…two of which are knitting and gardening.  She is also passionate about growing over 45 varieties of dahlias that she loves to share with family and friends.
